In the light of Government guidelines in regard to the coronavirus crisis, the leadership team of TGCC have made the decision to suspend all gathered church at TG2 for the immediate future.

However, TGCC will still continue to function as “scattered” church throughout our community.

“But the believers who were scattered preached the Good News about Jesus wherever they went”

Acts 8:4

It’s obviously very disappointing that we can’t gather together, as is our usual practice, but we shouldn’t view this entirely negatively, but positively, not as a problem, but an opportunity!

There is a great challenge, but not an insurmountable one for us as church, to remain engaged, encouraged and empowered to be able to share “The Good News about Jesus” in the individual settings we find ourselves in.

As a leadership it’s our intention to do all we can to help each one of us to be able to rise to this challenge.

Therefore, please regularly check out the TG website, our social media, WhatsApp groups & remain in touch with your LifeGroup leader for ongoing information, teaching and connection via smart technology, alternatively you could text or phone.

On Sundays we are going to put in place a means to broadcast/stream a time of worship, prayer, teaching and encouragement. More details will follow later this week.

We are very aware that there are a number of vulnerable individuals in our church family who will need practical support in the coming days and weeks to come. There are also huge numbers of vulnerable individuals in our overall community who will also need our love, support and practice care too. So I encourage us all to stay connected so that we can use our combined resources to make the most of every opportunity to be the Good News and share the Good News at this challenging time.

In the meantime there are two things we can all do; Pray and Care!

Prayer for the situation, for the vulnerable and those struggling. For our church family to be sustained and to grow despite the challenges.

Pray for the government, our medical officers and our amazing NHS workers, who will come under extra stress over the next few months.

Care for each other and for our wider community, to abide carefully by the government’s guidelines and to take great care that we continue to develop our devotional life at this time.

Yours in Christ Jesus – TGCC Leadership team.
